What Happens Every Time Liberals Hear Trump’s Name [Cartoon]
Calvin Freiburger writes that TFPP reported that Maine State Representative Scott Hamann shocked even his fellow Democrats with a vulgar, hysterical, and even violent Facebook rant about President Donald Trump. Now comes word that a little justice may be coming his way.
Hamann’s sea of idiotic invective includes calling Trump a “joke,” a “liar,” and an “admitted rapist,” a declaration that he was “installed by the Russians,” and plenty of F-bombs directed at his constituents who voted for Trump. But the crown jewel was his prediction that Trump would be “a half term President, at most, especially if I ever get within 10 feet of that p**sy” (emphasis added).
Naturally, the feds take that sort of thing very seriously. Fox News reports that the Secret Service will be investigating this potential threat against the President’s life.
“Allegations of any threat, inappropriate interest or unusual behavior directed towards a Secret Service protectee receives the highest priority of all our investigations,” a spokesman told Fox.
Of course, the Secret Service also noted that “for security reasons, we cannot discuss specifically nor in general terms the means and method of how we perform our protective responsibilities.”
Maine Republican Party Chairman Demi Kouzounas posted Hamann’s rant to the Maine GOP Twitter page.
The Maine State House Majority Office then released Hamann’s apology statement.
“While the tone of the post was born out of frustration with the vile language currently surrounding politics, I should not have responded with the same language,” Hamman said in a statement. “This is not language I typically use, it does not reflect my personal values, and while misguided, it was intended to make a visceral point about the developing political discourse in America.”
Yeah, I’m sure he’s all choked up…not for harboring such vile sentiments, of course, but just for being dumb enough to give the public a window into his soul. Rep. Hamann has richly earned a visit from the Secret Service…and for the voters of Maine to demote him to Mister Hamann.
